GLCC Board of Directors Election
As dictated in organizational bylaws, the Gay & Lesbian Community
Center (GLCC) is required to hold regular elections for governing positions on the
Board of Directors as the term of each respective position expires.
Interested parties are encouraged to submit an application expressing their interest
of consideration to the GLCC Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee, comprised
of at least two (2) members of the community and one (1) current GLCC Board Director
who is not a candidate for election, will review the submitted applications and
make recommendations on the most suitable candidates to the GLCC Board of Directors
The GLCC Nominating Committee and Board of Directors will interview potential candidates
and, through of a process defined by the GLCC bylaws, elect persons to the available
positions.
The following are Board of Director positions with terms expiring in June 2007:

Director |
The responsibility of a Director is to actively participate in deliberations of
the Board held at monthly meetings, and to contribute his/her best judgment and
expertise in matters coming before the Board. Most Directors serve as a liaison
to or participate in a committee working in a specific area of the Center’s activity.

 Three positions
carry a term of three (3) years, ending in June 2008.
Two positions
carry a term of two (2) years, ending in June 2007.
One position
carries a term of one (1) year, ending in June 2008.
