Over the past several months, your community center has been undergoing much-needed cosmetic surgery to freshen up its appearance.

Much of the space has been freshly painted, new carpeting and lighting is in place, and new cabinetry has been installed in the kitchenette. However, more work needs to be done, and we need your help to make it happen.

On January 14, 2005, the Gay and Lesbian Neighborhood Development Association (more commonly known as GLENDA) will be assisting the GLCC in completing the task of freshly painting the spaces that have not as yet been done. Work is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and end at approximately 4 p.m.

Additional volunteers are needed for various other improvements currently in progress. Although not required, experience in electrical, plumbing, or construction would be appreciated.

We’d love to have your involvement, so please consider joining us to make the GLCC an even more enjoyable and convenient place for the GLBT community to meet.
