Pride 2008 will be a week long celebration for and about GLBT Pittsburgh.
The GLCC will be celebrating in our city, starting June 16th and ending with PrideFest
on Sunday, June 22. We will be a part of this overall celebration with the DELTA
Foundation.
On Sunday June 22nd from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM The GLCC will have a booth right in
the heart of the PrideFest location on Liberty Avenue.
You will be able to stop by and see what we have planned for the future of LGBT
Pittsburgh.
Please stop by our booth and explore the many opportunities for volunteering at
the GLCC.

They said we couldn’t do it last year…we did! It’s back again…the annual party on
Liberty Avenue. DJ Escape will spin the music, Frederick Ford will warm the crowd
up and Kimberley Locke will light up the stage with her great vocals for the evening.
Frank Decaro from Out Q on Sirius Radio will be on hand to MC this year’s event.
This is an 18+ event. Dancing, drinking (for those 21+) and all out good time on

PRIDEMARCH
This year’s PrideMarch will be the BIGGEST EVER. All the talent from Pride in the
Street and PrideFest will ride in this parade. Parade route is as follows: Staging
area is on 1st Avenue near PNC. Start off down Boulevard of the Allies, Make a RIGHT
on to Stanwix Street, Make a Right on to Liberty and run right into the Festival
at 7th Street. Buses from the end of the route back to the staging area WILL NOT
be provided due to the close proximity of the start and finish. Click here for the
application to be in the parade. March steps off at noon.
PRIDEFEST
This year’s PrideFest will be 3 city blocks of fun. We are excited to shut down
Liberty Avenue between 7th Street and 10th Street. Sure to be a success. This year’s
event includes 2 Stages (10 hours) of entertainment, children’s area, young adult
area, a Queer Café, a beer garden, MANY vendor booths and an expanded food selection.
National entertainment include the Clicks, Latin pop star Reina, GLBT Activist Jacob
Reitan and Mary Lou Wallner, and Queer Comedian Eddie Sarfaty. Sure to be one great
day as we celebrate PRIDE!
