DADT Panel - March 20 - Pitt Rainbow Alliance

DADT Panel - Thursday, March 20, 2008 - 8:45 PM - Pitt Rainbow
Alliance

The Rainbow Alliance, the University of Pittsburgh's undergraduate GLBTQA organization, is organizing a panel discussion on Don't Ask, Don't Tell. The panel will take place during one of our regular meetings on Thursday, March 20 at 8:45 PM. We are still looking for a few people to participate in the panel, especially veterans who may have served in the military before DADT was implemented in 1993.

We are aiming for fair & balanced perspectives on the policy, with panel members on each side of the debate over DADT. Each panel member will begin with a brief description of their experience with the military and/or DADT, their opinion on the policy, and their thoughts on the future of the policy. Then, we will open the floor for questions from the audience. Ideally, panel members will have questions and comments for each other, as well as responses to questions from those in attendance. We are hoping for a fairly informal conversation of the policy in which many viewpoints and opinions can be presented and greater understanding can be fostered.

If you are interested in attending or participating in this event, please contact one of us at the email addresses below as soon as possible.
