Kate Bornstein
"On Men, Women, and The Rest of Us" is Kate Bornstein's autobiographical interactive signature spoken word piece‹heart-warming, wickedly funny, and thoroughly thought-provoking. It's an evening of deeply personal monologue, slam poetry, and postmodern stand-up slapstick, drawn from Kate's own favorite spoken word pieces‹including excerpts from her new memoir, Kate Bornstein Is A Queer and Pleasant Danger, due to be published in March of
2009. Whether you're a novice or an old hand to postmodernism and queer theory, "On Men, Women and The Rest of Us" is an unforgettable evening of laughter, tears, and mind-boggling paradox. Kate Bornstein is the author of three widely read and taught books: Gender Outlaw: On Men Women and the Rest of Us (Vintage, 1995), My Gender Workbook (Routledge, 1998) and most recently Hello Cruel World: 101 Alternatives to Suicide for Teens, Freaks, and Other Outlaws (Seven Stories Press, 2006).
