Magician Eric Brouman, OUT Magazine's "sexiest entertainer of 2006," will headline this year's Erie Gay Pride Rally on Sunday, June 29. Brouman will bring his brand of comedy magic to Perry Square where the rally will be held.
Brouman has performed around the world, working with such notables at Jerry Seinfeld, Gloria Estefan and Barry Manilow. He has appeared on the Rosie O'Donnell Show, has performed on Atlantis cruises and at Disney World, and has entertained for major corporations such as Ford Motor Company, Microsoft, IBM and Sony Music. The Hollywood Reporter called Brouman "brilliant, hilarious an absolute knock out." PRIDE Toronto named Brouman "Performer of the Year for 2006."
Also performing as part of the Erie Gay Pride Rally this year will be the Pittsburgh rock band School of Athens. These musicians, who have ties to Erie, will perform at Coconut Joe's on North Park Row, directly across from the Perry Square gazebo where the rally will take place.
Rally activities will get underway around 1 p.m. with the entertainment and speakers beginning approximately 2 p.m.
