[GLCC NewsBlast: 152] Pittsburgh Pride Week 2009 Kicks Off With 1st Annual White Party

(Pittsburgh, PA) – Red Revolver, a nightlife promotion company
responsible for the weekly BLOWPOP Saturday events at Privilege
Ultralounge, is kicking off Pittsburgh Pride Week 2009 with "EMPIRE",
the Pittsburgh GLBT community's first ever white party event on June
6th from 9pm to 2am. For every person who attends a donation will be
made to the Delta Foundation, a Pittsburgh non-profit organization
dedicated to increasing awareness of and improving the quality of life
for the GLBT community.

"EMPIRE", the name inspired by the extravagant architecture of Ancient
Rome, will feature VH1's Becky Buckwild ("Flavor of Love" and "Charm
School"), internationally renowned DJ Seth Gold (resident at SPLASH
NYC and TOWN Washington DC) and a live acrobatic aerial performance by
Lucas Derr (from the Tony and Grammy award winning Broadway show
BLAST!).

White party benefits have long been a staple of gay pride events all
over the world featuring top DJs, fabulous décor, and thousands of
patrons in all white attire coming together to raise millions of
dollars for non-profit groups. "With the success of last years
Pittsburgh Pride Week events we feel that 2009 is the year to put
Pittsburgh on the white party map" said Ry-n Skyy, president of Red
Revolver.

EMPIRE will be held at Privilege Ultralounge (1650 Smallman Street,
Pittsburgh PA 15222) on Saturday June 6th from 9 pm to 2 am.
