[GLCC NewsBlast: 192] Wilderness Women of Pittsburgh Events
Wilderness Women of Pittsburgh is organized by some lesbians who enjoy
adventures in the beautiful greater Pittsburgh area. The following is
a list of some upcomimg events.
Horseback riding at Rolling Hills Stables is this weekend. I stopped
by this past weekend and it looks like a nice place. There appears to
be quite abit of space for trail rides, the people seem laid back and
the horses look healthy. They are located just outside of
Bridgeville. Driving Directions (From Pittsburgh)
TAKE I-279 South
Merge onto I-79 South (6.1 miles)
Take BRIDGEVILLE EXIT (Exit 54)
Turn LEFT onto PA-50 West (2.2 miles)
Turn LEFT when you see the NATIONAL HILL
Head up to the top of the hill
Turn RIGHT onto HICKORY GRADE RD. (0.4 miles)
We are located on the LEFT.

We will meet there at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday, September 12th (rain
day is Sunday the 13th @ 10). $20/hour
The next scheduled events include:
Cards @ Cyndy's on Friday, September 18th @ 7:00 p.m. "Famous Crazy
Rummy" (interesting twist on Gin Rummy). No experience necessary and
no money needed. Please contact Cyndy so she has enough chairs set up
at cynderwood@gmail.com
Hiking @ McConnell's Mill on Saturday September 26 at 10:00 a.m.
Contact Amy at osullivanal@upmc.edu for more info and a head count.
Camping/hiking/Kentuck Knob/Stone Villa Winery in the Laurel Highlands
on October 2, 3 & 4. Beautiful scenery and lots to do or just sit by
the fire. I have a group tent site reserved so we can all be together
plus have alittle buffer from other campers. I have found a virgin
Hemlock stand at Laurel Ridge State Park and lots of cool trails. I
would like to visit Kentuck Knob on Saturday and there is a festival
at the Stone Villa Winery that sounds enticing with some live music.
So, keep the date open and make sure you have all the needed s'more
supplies. If you need camping equipment just let us know and we'll
see what we can do. Please contact Cyndy to reserve your site.
