DONNIE'S PSYCHOBABBLE ON VIEW AT GLCC

The GLCC continues to showcase exciting local talent with Donnie Toomer's psychobabble. Donnie will focus on world perspectives, coping mechanisms & our self- generated realities. The desire to be wanted and accepted is an inherent part of human consciousness, but how does one shape themselves if they only encounter negativity? The work will be a culmination of Donnie's own exploring, self- depreciation and coping.
Exhibition runs from: Sunday February 5th to March 24.
Gallery Opening: Sunday February 5  6pm- to 9pm
Donnie Toomer currently works with mixed media techniques including, but not limited to, encaustics, printmaking, oil and aqueous media, with a generous dose of found objects and collage. He is an active member of the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Pittsburgh Printmaking Group, Steal City Steam Society, and the Alberta Printmakers Society. Donnie is originally from Savanna, Georgia.  He is a friend and ally to the LGBT community and son of two gay fathers who are very active in the Pittsburgh community.
